Our good friends over at ZZK Records in Buenos Aires (also part of the Umbro World Champions Collection) are about to embark on a US tour to showcase their banging Cumbia Digital. Check out their free mixtapes for proof. It's traditional Afro-Columbian craft and rhythms clashing with heavy club bass and electro mids and all started at ZZK's revolutionary club Zizek. Influencing the likes of Bersas Discos & Tormenta Tropical, DJ/Rupture and Diplo ZZK's founder Grant C. Dull and his crew of El Remolón and Chancha Via Circuito will cross the pond and tear across the U.S. armed with the tour’s headliner, Tremor, a full live band which Grant hopes will be a game changer. Tremor deftly combines IDM with the sound of Northern Argentina where guitars, drums and other instruments breathe to the beat of computer bleeps. Tremor performs live with native Argentine instruments like the charango guitar, the bombo legüero drum, keyboards and synthesizers - digital folklorico.

They are hoping for a little support from their friends and fans to raise funds for the production of ZZK TV, an online video project designed to share their sound worldwide. Their TV and video project can be found here with Kickstarter and ZZK.

Check them out on Kickstarter to Save the Cumbia and watch out for a joint release with Trouble & Bass which features the musical debut of our good Protein friend Aerosyn-Lex together with super producer Drop The Lime.
