Harmony Korine' describes his latest film Trash Humpers as “a new type of horror; palpable and raw.” Released by Warp Films and Alcove Entertainment, Trash Humpers is a horror-slash-comedy that revolves around a gang of elderly peeping toms that literally trash hump their way around town.

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, what you can expect is a documentary-style voyeuristic look into Korine's famously bizarro mind causing News Week to state that it "leaves the residue of an authentic nightmare. You'll want to shower afterward." It can only be expected that a film from the man that brought us Kids and Gummo will be shocking and Korine is getting more creative with what will scare us, resulting in actors wearing creepy old masks doing the deed in Kentucky's back alleys.

Harmony Korine has cast his real-life wife Rachel as one of the elderly delinquents and shot most of it in his hometown of Nashville. It's been regarded as the director's least accessible film to date so if you're not a fan of long periods of uncomfortable subject matter it's probably not for you.

We haven't seen the film yet but we'll be hitting up a screening (you can get your tickets here) at select venues. It'll be interesting to see whether Korine's latest lives up to the hype or becomes a next level deranged art project.
