Coming soon to the Protein° Store are Maharishi's new series of six Canadian maple decks, featuring the DPM Series 1 camouflage patterns. Hold tight.
Pattern info (left to right in the above picture): Tibetan Elemental Tigerstripe Gold - inspired by the coveted gold colourway of the Otigerstripe pattern worn by Vietnamese and American troops in the 1970s. As well as dragons, it includes Sanskrit symbols representing the elements. Desert Hex - an interpretation of the US ONight Time Desert Grid pattern, used to confuse night vision devices. In this version the square grid of the US pattern is replaced with hexagons, which are found throughout nature. Bonsai Forest - the maharishi house camouflage pattern, which incorporates bonsai trees, clouds and dragons. Bonsai Step - a pixelated pattern inspired by the 1970s Soviet KLMK uniforms, this version incorporates the fellata patterns familiar to Peruvian ayahuasceros. Fu Splinter - a collaboration between mhi and the NY graf legend Futura, this pattern uses the splinter shapes from a 1950s Polish military design in conjunction with Futura's pointman design. mhi Sikh - the mhi house camouflage pattern, based on the Indian Army's Opalm frond pattern. Each pattern contains references to the natural world in line with the theory set out in the 944-page camo encyclopaedia DPM Disruptive Pattern Material. The book, also available from dpmhi, emphasises camouflage√Ǭπs natural roots and artistic influences over its military associations. DPM features a 14-page section on the use of camouflage by skaters, with contributions from the Bones Brigade, Powell, Santa Cruz, Zoo York, Supreme, and East among others. They will retail for £60 each and will be coming soon to the Protein° Store. And if these bad boys weren't enough, mhi have also developed a series of trucks in collaboration with Destructo featuring the DPM Series 1 camouflage patterns. Nice.
