A Japanese company has reportedly developed a CPU-cooling system that uses a magnetic fluid and requires no electricity to function. The system will apparently use a hollow magnet and magnetic nanoparticles mixed with oil to draw heat away from the CPU without requiring a pump. According to reports, the system will be viable for use in laptops and will cost as little as $15 when it goes into mass production. But somehow we doubt it will ever take the place of pump-driven liquid cooling systems in the hearts of hardcore gamers and modders. [Engadget]
