Laser Forest
Creative studio Marshmallow Laser Feast designs an interactive forest made of 150 lasers for the STRP Biennale in Eindhoven.
We all have an innate pleasure to meander through forests and to explore unbeaten trails and stunning scenery. Creative studio Marshmallow Laser Feast decided to tap into this universal desire by creating a glittering installation for the STRP Biennale in Eindhoven.
Laser Forest consists of 150 rods and lasers set up in a 450 square meters empty factory space. The visitors were encouraged to interact with the installation by tapping and shaking the laser trees to trigger patterns of sound and light. Each tree was tuned to a different tone so that the audience would collectively direct a shimmering orchestra.
Memo Akten, Robin McNicholas, and Barney Steel, the brains behind Marshmallow Laser Feast, are famous for designing impressive laser shows and we are looking forward to their next project.
