MPC Digital, a global creative studio that provides dynamic visuals for the advertising, film and entertainment industries were tasked with re-imagining the traditional photo booth experience.

The installation was made up of custom-built software and four Microsoft Kinects. The participants steps on a button that's fixed to the ground and hold the pose of their choice. They're then scanned and the images are captured from multiple angles and depth perspectives. The data from the scan is transformed into 10,000+ polygon 3D mesh that's turned into a 3D, virtual sculpture, with the The 3D visuals being rendered instantly.

This installation is a prime example of a design studio using disruptive technology to change old models into new and exciting methods of expression, and reinvigorate old formats.
