Despite the supposed death of print there's still a deluge of print titles out there - and nowhere is that more apparent than in the world of fashion magazines. Which is why Address magazine caught our eye.

Launched in October, Address is a London-based journal. In sharp contrast to the majority of fashion magazines, it takes a scholarly approach, being mostly text led. While there is photography, the magazine is mostly made up of essays, profiles and poetry.

Even more interesting is the fact that it's advertising free. This stance suggests that it's nigh on impossible to write critical articles whilst chasing advertisers, which is an interesting theory. And if magazines are being muzzled by advertisers, it'll be interesting to see whether this becomes an attractive option for magazine editors who want to create magazines with a critical slant. Issue 1 of the magazine is available on their website.
