Hot from the fingers of the digital chilla's comes... "The Big Chill and Space Studios present THE ENCHANTED GARDEN over three days in central southern England (15 miles from the Dorset coast) with a variety of mixed media but the setting will be very special - Victorian Pleasure Gardens laid out in 1880 by General Pitt Rivers. The dates are August 7,8 and 9th 1998.
The site (1500 capacity) features lawns, roman temples, Nepalese buildings, ornamental pheasants, real life peacocks and free flying macaws, bark gardens, and numerous glades and ponds. The expression "outstanding natural beauty" springs to mind! Weekend attractions will
be wide ranging: music, performance art, installations, open air theatre, digital art, good food, bars, tea rooms, market area and free camping.
Line-up will feature over 60 artists. Early confirmations include Tom Middleton/Global Communication, Knights Of The Occasional Table, Michael Reinboth/Beanfield (Compost), Rainer Truby/A Forest Mighty Black (Compost), Future 3 (April/Denmark), Ian O'Brien (Clear), Acustic, Another Fine Day, Paul Thomas (Kiss Fm), Toona, instrumenal and Mao and Hexstatic, Sorted and Glimpse VJs.
Brixton Academy box office is our major London outlet and is already taking credit card and cheque bookings - early tickets are 40 pounds until June 15th.
