Open to all gamers over 18 years of age, Quakeadelica is the UK's first search of the pixel powered prowess. If you think you're got what it takes, you can register and play online through Wireplay's Quakeadelica website during September; or participate in 'live' regional heats to be held at Cyberia cafes in Edinburgh on 26 September and in Manchester and London on 3 October.

The final marathon will be held on 15 October 1998 at London's Ministry of Sound. This Future-tech event will combine hardcore 'frag' action with top DJ's and (token) celebrity presenter Dani Behr.

The highlight of the event will be a death-match between the newly crowned UK champion and 'Thresh' (Denis Fong), the US Professional Gamers' League (PGL) champion. The UK champion will also be invited to participate in the PGL Season 3 Final to be held in New York on 12th-14th November 1998. Better get practicing.
