proteinTV, the UK based Internet TV channel, celebrates its first birthday this weekend with the launch of their best “pod” to date. As from 3pm tomorrow [Saturday], you will be able to watch exclusive material from this years onedotzero [see the week’s filter section], a fantastic short film “Still Buzzin’” and DJ Q-Bert’s much hyped move into animation with the first installment of “Sneak Attack”.
It is fitting that it was at last years onedotzero event that proteintv launched the channel with a half hour documentary on three of the events film-makers, a precursor to the current onedottv series on Channel 4. proteinTV’s unique programming “pods” and continued high quality content, have gained them some well deserved attention, being invited to Synch or Stream in Canada, Interactive City in Glasgow, Darklight Film Festival in Dublin and Deliver Us in the Lux [London]. Dazed & Confused has also hailed them as “a pioneering Internet site”. International stardom is sure to follow and if that happens, we will have to find someone else to flex the feed ;-)
