Another title in Cyan's Myst and Riven series is in development. The sequel will be set in the same world as Myst and Riven, namely among the people of the D'ni, sources said.

Earlier this year, Broderbund hinted that derivative products from Myst and Riven would be announced. "Robyn [Miller] and I said we would never do another Myst or Riven sequel together; and together we wouldn't have," Rand Miller, the Myst and Riven producer, said during a presentation at Electronics Boutique World. Robyn Miller is Rand's brother and Cyan's co founder.

Robyn has formed a production company, Land Of Point, to focus on film projects, and is no longer involved in Cyan-related development. As reported earlier this year, an enhanced DVD version of Riven is scheduled for display at E3. Red Orb, a division of Broderbund, is the publisher of Cyan properties.
