Da Beastie Boys have announced the complete itinerary of their North American tour, in support of the summer's best album, "Hello Nasty." The tour kicks off July 31st at Seattle's KEY ARENA, and features the debut of a 360-degree rotating turntable stage. Opening acts for the tour include Money Mark, DJ HURRICANE, and RANCID. The BOYS plan to add new features to their website throughout their tour, with a live broadcast of a show, interviews, and other features, and $1.00 from each show will be donated to The MILAREPA FUND, the non-profit organization they co-founded which has produced three TIBETAN FREEDOM Concerts.
VERVE manager Jaz Summers recently told the NME that the band's August 29th show at Slane Castle, Dublin, will be "the last gig," and added "I don't know whether they'll record after that... Maybe they're gonna make another record. Maybe they won't. I have no idea." The VERVE kick-off their U.S. tour next Tuesday.
MASSIVE ATTACK, who recently pulled out of the VERVE's North American tour, have announced a string of shows which will have them playing across the U.S. through September. According to JAMtv, singers Deborah Miller and Horace Andy are expected to join the group on tour.
