Indigo has been recognised as Ireland's best independent Internet Service Provider by the country's largest telecommunications company, Telecom Eireann. On Wednesday 12th November 1997, Indigo was acquired by Telecom Eireann Enterprises. The acquisition of Indigo will further enhance the service being provided to its customers.

This new development means that infrastructure improvements in the Indigo network will be ongoing, leading to continuing improvements in the levels of performance. Furthermore, investment by Telecom Eireann will ensure that Indigo develops new services for its subscribers on a regular basis.

In the coming years Indigo will continue to be one of the major forces in Internet service provision in Ireland. Indigo will maintain its now well established brand. The experienced team at Indigo will continue to be available for all our customers under the new ownership.
