Wednesday was online film site IndieWIRE's birthday. They provide an excellent service for anyone interested in independent film and TV production - as well as numerous story ideas for Ninfomania. So we've included a little piece on their new site and sounds. "What began as a small email service on July 15, 1996, has grown into a popular publication that offers articles daily on the Internet and in two email editions. We also distribute news, features, and buzz at film festivals in print editions. As we embark on year three, we are thrilled to announce the debut of a new website. Launching today as part of the Daily Entertainment Network (the den), is iPOP: indieWIRE's Movie Magazine, a website devoted to interviews and news of interest to indie film fans. The premiere of our site today showcases 6 indie faces - Darren Aronofsky ("Pi"), Lisa Cholodenko ("High Art"), Chris Eyre ("Smoke Signals"), Vincent Gallo ("Buffalo 66"), Sam Rockwell ("Lawn Dogs"), and Whit Stillman ("The Last Days of Disco"), long with a weekly news wrap-up, brief articles about films in production, and listings of indiefilms on TV and in theaters. Each week, iPOP will present indieWIRE.com articles for the growing indie-going movie audience, delivering our content well beyond the strong base readership we have cultivated within the film industry and among filmmakers worldwide. So, be sure and tell your family and friends about iPOP, the new online magazine for indie movie-goers." Done deal. http://www.ipopmag.com/
