Expanding its presence overseas and positioning itself as the international leader in delivering high-speed Internet services, @Home Network has announced an agreement in principle to form a distribution partnership with ComTel, a leading United Kingdom cable and telecommunications operator.

Under the terms of the agreement, @Home Network will develop a British version of @Home's high-speed Internet service. ComTel will market the service to its approximately 1 million homes passed, which are nearly 100 percent upgraded to two-way hybrid fiber coaxial cable. ComTel's franchise area's include the Thames Valley - the "Silicon Valley" of the UK and base of many high-tech companies and their employees. @Home Network will leverage its technology, content, systems and operating expertise to create a British high-speed Internet service substantially better than anything available in Europe today.

ComTel subscribers will enjoy a rich array of broadband content and applications such as Internet TV, news video on demand, near CD-quality audio, high-speed games and software downloading, along with access to the Internet at speeds dramatically faster than previously available. @Home Network will combine the best elements of the @Home product with high quality British and European content to create a service tailored to the needs of the UK's customer base.
