Starting this very night is the first installment of the two part Heavy Rotation series. A collaboration between the Film & Video Umbrella and onedotzero, Heavy Rotation “celebrates the continuing crossover between creative areas that are feeding into a new digital moving image aesthetic.” Ooooo, trying saying that with a mouth full of Pringles.

Both these organisations are “v. cool” [that’s official because they are our mates] so expect some surprises amongst some of the stuff you might have seen before in the onedotzero festival earlier this year.

Strut your digital stuff down to the ICA tonight to try blag your way into the launch party and see what “screen dynamics” is all about. But for those of you that can’t make it, here’s our Shane with a little reminder, it’s “a piece fuelled by a soundtrack predominantly of electronica, both of the active and ambient variety, images have been constructed with this sonic input as the defining framework of each piece. The layering and manipulation of this sound finally finds it’s visual equivalent with these digitally-informed short films.” Yeah man.
