Firing up this weekend is Channel 4's new alternative film channel available you on cable, satellite and digital television. Dubbed as "the home of independent cinema" the new channel will show the independent British films Fever Pitch and Brassed Off, plus many more made by FilmFour Ltd. From its friends in the US, there will be such recent hits as The Usual Suspects and Reservoir Dogs and from the rest of the world you can expect classics like A Bout de Souffle and Muriel's Wedding plus extreme or erotic films such as Jamon, Jamon and Man Bites Dog.
All in all a pretty package, but as you are going to have pay extra for the service, just how much better is getting the same film [or better] out on video?
