In order to facilitate creating a micropower broadcast station we have found a group offering the PLL 1/2 watt FM broadcast exciter kit in partially-assembled form. In combination with the 20 watt amplifier kit, which boosts the 1/2 watt output of the PLL exciter, this provides a way for folks with either limited technical abilities or time to build a 20 watt transmitter. All that remains to be soldered on the PLL kit circuit board are the transistors and one IC. The 20 watt amplifier kit requires very little soldering and no tuning, it is based on a broadband power module. Only the PLL requires tuning and adjustment. For other applications the PLL kit is available separately in partially assembled form for $150. The complete package includes, PLL kit, 20 watt amplifier kit, power supply, enclosure, power meter, frequency counter and Comet 5/8 ground plane antenna. The counter and meter are required to tune both the PLL exciter and antenna. Cabling from the transmitter to antenna is additional and costs $1.00/foot. Shipping cost is $25.00 for domestic,$50.00-$75 air parcel for international shipments. Proceeds from the sales of these kits go to the furtherance of micro power broadcasting, bringing a voice of empowerment to every community.
