It looks like the auction crowd will soon be turning on and tripping out. The Christies's Auction House plans on auctioning off a collection of celebrity drug memorabilia including a drug recipe written by LSD preacher Timothy Leary.

Dr. Leary's directions on how to prepare psychedelic mushrooms for a "mild, medium or heavy trip" is expected to generate about $800, while his used hookah pipe is expected to sell for at least $4,000. Also on the celebrity drug auction block:

- A 2-inch-tall scrimshaw vial which belonged to John Belushi's girlfriend should sell for about $2,000.

- A court stenographer's notebook signed by Sid Vicious in his real name (John S. Ritchie) right after he was charged with murdering his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen. Estimated value: $2,000.

- Bob Marley's favorite drinking mug is on the auction block for $1,000.

- And, finally, Janis Joplin's brown leather shoulder bag may sell for as much as $4,000.

The auction will be held February 4 in New York City and if you want to place your bid get in contact with Beth Shepherd in LA on (310) 385-2613
