The digital kids of Dublin do it again this year for Darklight 2000. The festival could be described as ?an independent digital initiative formed to provide a platform for the convergence of technology and the Art? but it sounds a bit wanky. We prefer to call it ?a tip-top digifilmfest with a shit load of good people partying and drinking Gunniess.? Their first event last year was very well attended, even if the quality of films didn?t quite live up to the hype. This year they are aiming to expand on last years screenings of filmmaking, video, graphic design, post-production, art, music and animation work by  ?exploring even further the creative potential of digital art and technology.? Obviously meaning lots of random installations that have the words ?hybrid?, ?kiosk?, ?interactive?, ?intuitive? and ?submersive? in the title.We want to make sure we get invited to cover the festival again this year, so if you have any films that you want to included check out their site and tell them we sent you.
