D.FILM, the ?world’s leading showcase for film made with digital technology and the number one website for digital film online? is going walkabout. Bart and his merry band of binary bitheads will be rolling their reels in 21 cities around the world this year including their first official show at the Paramour in Los Angeles this Saturday [23rd October].The event is located on the grounds of the former Canfield-Moreno estate in Silverlake, which was originally built in 1923 as a palatial, Hearst castle-like estate for silent movie star Enrico

Moreno. It sits on 4 1/2 acres atop one of the highest points in LA with a 360 degree view of downtown LA and Hollywood. In the late 20’s the estate was converted to a home for troubled girls and later a monastery - this is one of the first times in over 70 years that members of the general public will have access to the grounds.



The program will include new digital work from Chris Cunningham, Dave McKean, Spike Jonze, new work from DJ Qbert’s Wave Twisters project by Micheal Garon and Eric Henry and more along with top audience favorites from the festival’s first 3 years.D.FILM will also be at Miller Freeman’s Digital Video Expo and in Amsterdam’s Paradiso Theater, but neither of these events sound as impressive as the Canfield-Moreno estate one, so you?ll have to check out their site for more info.
