Calvin Klein has suffered a little set back. They have decided to discontinue their current US advertising campaign for their new line of ‘Underwear for Kids’.
A press release from CK stated “The advertising campaign that we created to launch Calvin Klein Underwear for Kids was intended to show children smiling, laughing and just being themselves. We wanted to capture the same warmth and spontaneity that you find in a family snap-shot,” however, the second the campaign was unveiled it was attacked by assorted rabid watchdog groups. The ads showed very young toddlers in their underwear, and were less provocative than your average nappy commercial.
