The researcher who discovered two drugs that eliminated cancer tumors in mice says he has received federal permission to treat about 30 terminally ill patients who have not responded to other medication. The test on humans &£45;- the first of its kind &£45;- could begin as early as the end of the year, Dr. Judah Folkman told the Chicago Tribune. The drugs, angiostatin and endostatin, are highly experimental and have been tried only in mice.
