Media 100 has launched a new line of high performance digital video systems for Windows NT - called Finish. Hmmm, not sure

of the name, but you needn't worry as there are plenty of features that will distract you on along the way. Finish provides a completely integrated online finishing system with support of ITU-R BT.601, direct real-time processing of DV-formatted data, and support for IEEE 1394 connectivity all for under $30,000.

And for the TV techies: Finish supports the ITU-R BT.601 standard with YUV color space, 4:2:2 digital component signal processing throughout. It provides for 720 x 486 and 640 x 480 display for NTSC, 720 x 576 and 768 x 576 for PAL. IEEE 1394 input and output. One or two video streams, each running at 300 KB/frame (NTSC) and 360 KB (PAL). Alpha-channel key for

uncompressed text and static graphics with fade in/out. S-video, composite, and Y, R-Y, B-Y component video input/output. As well as three pages more.

This won't be out till around next Christmas, so better start saving your pennies.
