The Village Voice reports on the burgeoning burlesque revival on NYC. "It's pure shtick. It's almost like a drug. It's all part of entertainment as denial. It's part of the economy; it's part of living in New York. It's escape."  Apparently today's performers are edgier than their predecessors, one performer lets loose to Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love." Hmmm - we'd like to see a Ghetto-Tech burlesque night with DJ DiscoD at the Booty Bar. Link
