NTT DoCoMo is to embed the Flash player into its i-mode handsets. The Japanese service provider and Macromedia have just announced the agreement, which sees the vector animation client included in releases scheduled later this year starting with the 505I series. NTT DoCoMo intends the Flash player to become a primary means of navigation for mobile data users, enabling them easy access through complex menus. This will, of course, enhance the range of services that will be available on i-mode, as well as simplifying the development process ... because they don't have to use Java ;-) Link
