Andreea Ioan-Facsinay from Leiden University Medical Center has attached proteins from tumour cells to antibodies. With these she treated immune cells from a mouse. These treated cells were used to make a vaccine, which was shown to be effective in animal experiments. If the follow-up research is successful, vaccines against cancer will become available.
