Lead singer of The Maccabees, Orlando Weeks, has just announced the launch of his solo music project, [Young Colossus](http://www.youngcolossus.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz). The EP features 6 new tracks and is released in conjunction with a colour animated book designed by illustrator [Robert Hunter](http://www.rob-hunter.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz). The 24-page book is beautifully constructed and an interesting accompaniment to the new record.

Like the Gabriel Bruce release [we featured back in December](http://prote.in/feed/2011/12/sleep-paralysis?ref=protein.xyz), this project highlights how artists are evolving and increasingly focusing on physical, tangible releases.
