**Outdoor clothing brand, Patagonia, are coming to repair your clothes in the name of sustainability**

In a generation known for its throwaway culture, [Patagonia](http://www.patagonia.com/?ref=protein.xyz) are at the forefront of ethical apparel. Four decades after its inception, the team are going on tour in their newly constructed biodiesel repair wagon, to pay tribute to their ever increasing customer base. Travelling coast-to-coast, Patagonia will not only be repairing clothes free of charge, but teaching others how to up-cycle their own garments. With food, drinks and scheduled film screenings, locals can enjoy a fully immersive community experience.

Employing 45 full-time repair technicians at their facility in Reno, NV, Patagonia is the largest garment repair facility in North America. “I’ve made no secret that I hold a fairly skeptical view of the business world, says Patagonia's founder Yvon Chouinard. “The last line of Patagonia’s mission statement is ‘…use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis.’ We’ve always taken that seriously.”

For the last 30 years, Patagonia has consistently donated one percent of its sales to grassroots environmental organisations, in a bid to support like-minded companies that bring about positive ecological change. With society’s growing awareness towards consumption, brands such as Patagonia and LA retailer [Everlane](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2015/04/transparent-city-tour?ref=protein.xyz), are proof that the industry is making steps towards bringing sustainable fashion to the wider market.

[Patagonia's Worn Wear](http://www.patagonia.com/us/worn-wear/?ref=protein.xyz) tour continues until May 12.
