This little gadget is designed to eliminate the hassle of booting up your notebook to search for a strong connection. When you point the device in a direction, push and hold the button down, the LED lights will remain lit to indiciate a Wi-Fi signal. The QuickLink can detect a wireless access point within 300 feet in less than one second. "QuickLink Wi-Fi Seeker is the perfect solution for road warriors tired of booting up their laptops only to find a Wi-Fi signal doesn't exist," said Robert Elliott, vice president of marketing with Smith Micro. "This device is small enough to fit on a key ring, zipper-pull on a notebook case or in your pocket. The QuickLink Wi-Fi Seeker is fast and can find the strongest signal in less than a second."
