Tree cover in urban areas has declined by 30% in the last 20 years.

Urban areas have grown by 20%.

Reduced tree cover and comprised quality of soil have led to:

\* Rising temperatures  
 \* Impaired air quality and water quality  
 \* Increased non-point source pollution, flooding, and erosion.

After the winter we have had, I think more Councils should look at this…
