Being able to convey a sense of a location is the key to good travel journalism. [This Place](http://thisplacejournal.com/?ref=protein.xyz)is an online travel journal, that makes the sensible decision of entrusting the portrayal of each location with people who truly love it. Portland based creative agency [Instrument](http://weareinstrument.com/?ref=protein.xyz)collaborated with a team of photographers, writers, video and sound artists to create a multimedia storytelling platform featuring a short film and a series of interactive vignettes that present a portrait of their native Oregon coast as seen through the eyes of a few who cherish it.   
  
The journal has received critical acclaim for its beautiful design and innovative story telling, and it’s easy to see why. Here’s to the next release.
