It's interesting to see designers working on innovative projects for kids and toddlers, utilising technology to create smart content, because it has to be so simple to use.   
  
[‘Jörgits and the End of Winter’](http://www.jorgits.com/?ref=protein.xyz)is a brilliant new fantasy iPad novel, and a brainchild of [Anders Sandell](http://vimeo.com/tankandbear?ref=protein.xyz), a Finnish illustrator and toy designer. It is highly interactive, containing musical scenes, diagrams, and animated videos. It also features 50 original, full colour illustrations.  
  
The book introduces readers to the issues of global warming – telling a story of a band of aliens who land on earth looking for a warmer place to live. They head to Hawaii, but end up in Helsinki. It is also full of witty commentaries from the aliens’ perspective-giving children a taste of different cultures around the world.
