On [Monday the 18th of February](https://www.facebook.com/events/367413806700161/?fref=ts) [18 Hewett Street](http://www.18hewettstreet.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) and [MASS](http://www.lovemass.net/?ref=protein.xyz) are proud to screen Steve James', the director of Hoop Dreams, 2011 documentary, The Interrupters.

Spanning a year on the streets of Chicago, the film followers three ‘interrupters’, individuals attempting to break the cycle of violence that many of the city’s youth are caught in. With a mix of guts, bravado and humour the interruptors try to offer gang members an alternative to lethal retaliation.

Doors are at 7pm, film starts at 7.30pm, [tickets](http://masspresentstheinterrupters.eventbrite.com/?ref=protein.xyz) are £5\. Buy them early before they sell out!

Ticket also incudes a free beer on arrival!
