Last week we brought you news of new food magazine [Gather Journal](http://prote.in/feed/2012/07/gather-journal?ref=protein.xyz). This week, however, we've found another food magazine that trumps that: [The Gourmand](http://thegourmand.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz).

Billed as a 'food and culture journal', the magazine was born as a means to share the exciting cultural shift of new restaurants, bars, cafes and ingredients and to celebrate food as a catalyst for creativity. Created by David Lane of [Inventory Studio](http://inventorystudio.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) and Marina Tweed, its wonderfully designed and packed full of awesome content, from a tour of Brixton Market with [The 2 Bears](http://www.the2bears.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) to [Koon's](http://www.jeffkoons.com/?ref=protein.xyz) Apple Dumplings.

It's a great magazine that, 'is a testament to the communicative power of food and its inherent relationship with the arts.' It even has a wipe-proof cover so you can enjoy while tucking into messy foods. Check out the video above and the website [here](http://thegourmand.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz).
