We have previously featured [Moments Factory project](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2013/06/moment-factory-x-lax?ref=protein.xyz), where a huge art installation was installed in Lax Airport. This time, Sydney was lucky enough to have its own public show with music and lights, located in Sydney Overseas Passenger Terminal, a venue that looks out over the Opera House.

Terminal Projekt was built as part of the [Vivid Sydney Festival 2013.](http://www.vividsydney.com/?ref=protein.xyz) Large geodesic dome structure brought together electronic music and arts, culminating in a big party, featuring work from ASUS, Intel and [Finely Tuned](http://finelytuned.com.au/?ref=protein.xyz).

Visitors were free to engage with the interactive installation through touchpads, triggering various colours and patterns. Various DJs, such as [Tensnake](http://tensnake.tumblr.com/?ref=protein.xyz) and Jimmy Edgar played over the three day period, while the visuals were mapped out by [Kit Webster.](http://kitwebster.com/?ref=protein.xyz)

Unconventional, yet heavily populated spaces, like airport terminals, seem to be growing increasingly appealing as choices for public art projects.
