Want to live forever? [Dublin's Science Gallery](http://www.sciencegallery.com/?ref=protein.xyz) is bringing you the answers. Heading up the discussion will be [Natasha Vita-More](http://www.natasha.cc/?ref=protein.xyz), author and co-founder of the controversial [Transhumanist movement](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transhumanist%5Fart?ref=protein.xyz), and [Desmond O’Neill](http://healthsciences.tcd.ie/pls/public/staff.detail?p%5Funit=clinical%5Fmedicine&p%5Fname=doneill&ref=protein.xyz), Professor of Gerontology at [Trinity College Dublin](http://www.tcd.ie/?ref=protein.xyz). If you haven’t heard of the Transhumanist movement, it derives from the objective to beat aging by using human integrated technologies that would, in theory, essentially enable us to live forever. The concept is surrounded by strong objections that have been fought by Transhumanists claiming their work is simply another branch of natural evolution. Natasha Vita-More coined the movement back in 2009 with her ‘Transhuman Statement’ which you can read [here](http://www.transhumanist.biz/transhumanistartsmanifesto.htm?ref=protein.xyz). Her futurist envisioning has been published in the likes of [AnOtherMan](http://www.anothermag.com/?ref=protein.xyz) magazine to [Nanotechnology Now](http://www.nanotech-now.com/?ref=protein.xyz). She’ll be joining Desmond O’Neill, another key figure in the movement in discussion to lay bare the possibilities, actual reality, and problems facing the theory going forward. Interested in being immortal? Whether you are or not, it's definitely worth hearing these pioneers taking the latest thinking in science and applying it to real social issues. Get an insight into Transhumanistic thinking [here](http://memebox.com/futureblogger/show/99?ref=protein.xyz) and find out more information on the event, taking place tomorrow 2nd June, [here](http://www.sciencegallery.com/events/2011/06/talking-heads-who-wants-live-forever-0??ref=protein.xyz).
