It was dubbed as: “A think-tank on networked audio visual media” and it sure blew some mighty big holes for the future technologists to talk about and the online communities to chew over.

Held in the The Banff Centre for the Arts over last weekend, the Synch or Stream Summit, effortlessly brought together and an impressively diverse selection “nu-meeja” types to talk, present, debate, interject and drink ... Covering issues like: streaming 3D, free arts-based, RealServer solutions, QuickTime 4 servers, Internet TV, Aboriginal community radio, Free Speech, new Internet business models, performance sequencers, privacy and rights.

I think some of the most constructive things that came out of the conference, other than getting to meet a load of very interesting people, was the extension of the community based radio networks and FM re-transmission collaborations that seemed to thirve throughout the three

days. Without publishing the complete transcript, it just leaves me to commend the event organisers for pulling off a tip-top event and that to say that the hot baths were magic.
