[Dennis P Paul](http://dennisppaul.de/?ref=protein.xyz)'s newest project is entitled [An Instrument for the Sonification of Everday Things](http://dennisppaul.de/an-instrument-for-the-sonification-of-everday-things/?ref=protein.xyz), and we promise it's cooler than its title lets on. Paul has created a device and accompanying software that repeatedly scan an object and turn its surface into an audible frequency. Paul says that successfully 'playing' his creation requires 'a mixture of practice, anticipation, and serendipity.'

Lookout Skrillex, that frightening clown head is already nominated for a Grammy.
