Monday 16th May sees [super/collider’s](http://www.super-collider.com/?ref=protein.xyz) latest laidback science event at [The Book Club](http://www.wearetbc.com/?ref=protein.xyz) with their [Space Shuttle Retirement Party](http://www.super-collider.com/projects/science-fair?ref=protein.xyz). As [NASA’s](http://www.nasa.gov/?ref=protein.xyz) space shuttle program is drawing to a close, they will be celebrating the iconic spacecraft, with live music, a documentary screening and talks.

Space expert and author Piers Bizony talks history and the legacy of the shuttle alongside photographer [David Ryle](http://davidryle.com/?ref=protein.xyz) who has captured the surrounding areas to the Florida launchpad. A screening of VBS.tv’s Space Shuttle Parking Lot will round off the night, a documentary about the fans who flock to see the space shuttle in action and live scifi soundtrack provided by the [Bright Star Catalogue](http://www.myspace.com/thebrightstarcatalogue?ref=protein.xyz).
