Based on inline skating style “grinding”, these sneakers have built-in plastic “soap” plates fixed in the arch of the sole. Hence, your innocent looking trainer, now becomes a lethal slide “mosheen”. Very useful when getting down large numbers of stairs in a hurry, or trying to impress your classmates by super long skids along the corridors at break time. But to you or I, just another marvel of modern consumerism. Apparently built because it is illegal to skate in many public places, these crafty canvases can elude even the weariest of security folk. Either way, they look like fun and not being an inline-type \[skateboard rules\], these look like the perfect item to cause a lot of damage to yourself whilst having great fun in the process.
