Has nostalgia become the new future? Over the past few years, a lot of technology has been a mishmash of retro-tech and new digital technology combined into one gadget. Previous products that follow this trend include the [Projecteo](http://prote.in/feed/2012/11/projecteo?ref=protein.xyz) and [The Instant Lab](http://prote.in/feed/2012/09/the-instant-lab?ref=protein.xyz), so this new Smartphone film Scanner from analogue camera nuts [Lomography](http://www.lomography.com/?ref=protein.xyz) is is certainly in good company.

Essentially an instant scanner, it allows you to scan all kind of 35mm film and then upload and edit the pictures to your smartphone. It’s conveniently small, works with both iPhones and Android and comes with an integrated Lomoscanner App which allows the user to edit, animate analogue movies and share their scans.

The project's already reached its $50,000 goal on [Kickstarter](http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lomography/the-lomography-smartphone-film-scanner?ref=live) so expect to see these start popping up all over place.
