Future thinking food group, the [Basque Culinary Centre](http://www.bculinary.com/es/home?ref=protein.xyz) has teamed up with the [Think Big Factory](http://thinkbig-factory.com/?ref=protein.xyz) to inject a bit of the digital into fine dining. Adding a new dimension the traditional dining experience, Smart Tasting allows diners a chance to interact with their chefs, their food and the rest of their table in a host of new ways.

From projected descriptions of the food and drink being served, to wide screens displaying a live feed of the meal preparation, the project intends to close the gap between chef and customer through this immersive, projected, interactive display.

We’ve already looked at a couple of examples of [digital](http://prote.in/feed/2013/01/google-x-berg?ref=protein.xyz), [interactive](http://prote.in/feed/2013/01/illumiroom?ref=protein.xyz) projection this month, but this is an interesting case of it being used in a practical way.
