Dutch design studio, [Studio Roosegaarde](http://www.studioroosegaarde.net/info/?ref=protein.xyz), have come up with a host of innovations to revolutionise their homeland's highways. Ideas that serve a multitude of functions, from improving road safety or reducing energy consumption to looking into the future, with ways of recharging electric cars. Obviously a project this ambitious will have to start small so a low-scale pilot scheme is being rolled out later this year in the province of Brabant, and, if successful could be expanded nationwide.
