How does one of the biggest hypermarket chains in Europe produce a sustainability report that is both engaging and informative? Italian chain Auchan partnered with [Serviceplan Munich](http://www.serviceplan.com/?ref=protein.xyz) to develop the [Self Scan Report](http://www.serviceplan.com/presse/news.html?ref=protein.xyz#news2845), a sustainability report presented on a single shopping receipt. Highlighting Auchan’s commitment to sustainable practices, the company wanted to deliver its message directly to the source: the customers.   
  
Despite what may otherwise be rather dull material, users can scan their receipt through an engaging app on their smartphone to get information on Auchan’s sustainable practices. Bright, crisp, and well-designed, the app delivers information in a fun and interesting way. This interactive report highlights that engaging and informative methods of communication are good for both consumers and companies alike.
