In the next few weeks we will be launching our Protein profile films, a series of well shot and insightful glimpses into the workings of some awesome and inspiring creatives. In the meantime we’re satisfying our appetite for film by moderating a [Forum](http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/films/2011/oi-get-your-grubby-hands-out-of-my-brain?ref=protein.xyz) at the upcoming [Edinburgh International Film Festival](http://www.edfilmfest.org.uk/?ref=protein.xyz). The discussion will focus on neuroscience, neuromarketing and film and touch on key ethical question marks hovering around its development in the coming years. For any film lover in the know, the festival is one of the best in the UK film calendar and this year the festival celebrates its 65th birthday, so you better hurry to be get your hands on delegate passes. They’re on sale until the 12th June and available with discount for those of you wanting to go super film geek and attend their inaugural conference. This year they’ll be addressing 'The State of the British Film Nation’ on Friday 17th June. The schedule is packed with a range of events including a Director’s Forum discussing the politics of producing feature films, a Q&A session with Edinburgh-based screenwriter Annie Griffin and the [BAFTA](http://www.bafta.org/?ref=protein.xyz) collaboration with [Shooting People](https://shootingpeople.org/account/auth.php?ref=protein.xyz), as part of their ‘Short Sighted’ project - aiming to get short films seen by those who matter. Join Protein down at the Filmhouse on the 25th June where we lead the film-initiated science debate on the commercial application of neuroimaging. We’ll be joined by speakers Tom Ziessen from the Welcome Trust, Creative Technologist David Bausola, and Professor Stephen Lawrie, a Neuroscientist at the University of Edinburgh.
