To coincide with the recent release of the latest issue of [Protein Journal](https://www.prote.in/en/feed/2014/01/protein-journal-11-the-health-report?ref=protein.xyz), film maker [Mollie Mills](http://www.molliemills.co.uk/?ref=protein.xyz) and [Protein TV](https://www.prote.in/en/tv?ref=protein.xyz) presents a series of short films taking a look at the athletic passions of a handful young people. From amateur boxers to figure skaters, this series will uncover the driving forces behind each individual's athletic life and ambitions. For some it's just a hobby or a way to keep fit, for other it's a career that they're devoting their life to.   
  
In the first episode we meet Matthew Parr, a twenty-three year old figure skater from Newcastle who's been taking to the ice since he was seven and is on his way to Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympics as a part of Team GB to have his first crack at a gold medal.
