For anyone who’s ever taken a swig from an out-of-date milk bottle, you’d probably appreciate any heads-up in future. The frustration of having to throw mouldy food away on a regular basis, is something we all feel; in fact one third of consumable food is never eaten.   
  
[Prompt](http://www.eatprompt.com/?ref=protein.xyz) is a smart food management system, developed to help people reduce their food waste and save money. Simple tags and a smart dock connect to a mobile app to make personal food management easy and engaging.  
  
Prompt aims to tackle the problem of food wastage by making it simple to know when fresh produce is nearing the end of its life. Simply remove a tag from the dock and place it on the relevant food item. This will automatically be logged by the Prompt app, so you can see, at-a-glance, what’s in your fridge and when you need to eat it by.
