Advertising agency directors are well known for ignoring promo CDs – and it’s becoming harder and harder for music labels to stand out. Hamburg-based [Kontor Records](http://www.kontorrecords.de/?ref=protein.xyz) took a dramatic approach and sent a vinyl record packed in an envelope that actually transforms into a working turntable when unfolded.   
  
The Office Turntable promotes the new track of the house producer [Boris Dlugosch’s](http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/boris%5Fdlugosch?ref=protein.xyz), and works with any smartphone. It doesn't require any special downloads. One just needs to put the record on the turntable, activate the QR code and place the phone over it to play the track.   
  
It is interesting to see record labels combining the analogue and digital in a fun, interactive and practical manner.
