# Ode a la Vie

We know by now that projection mapping gives birth to [dazzling works of art](http://prote.in/feed/2012/06/augmented-reality-projection-mapping?ref=protein.xyz) by invading and lighting up familiar public spaces. The most recent enterprise that caught our attention comes from [Moment Factory](http://www.momentfactory.com/en/project/street/Ode%5F%C3%A0%5Fla%5Fvie%5Fon%5Fthe%5FSagrada%5Ffamilia?ref=protein.xyz), a multimedia and entertainment studio based in Montreal.

For the annual [La Merce Festival](http://merce.bcn.cat/?ref=protein.xyz) in Barcelona the team engineered a 15 minutes-long show, which mesmerised thousands of viewers. Ode a la vie (Ode to life) involved the use of 16 projectors, 25 moving lights, and 13 computers to bring the Nativity Façade of La Sagrada Familia to life.

Although Moment Factory has plenty of experience producing more that 300 shows and installations for clients such as [Cirque du Soleil](http://www.momentfactory.com/en/portfolio/McLaren%5FLaunch%5FF1/?ref=protein.xyz#%5F/%5F/%5F/%5F), [Madonna](http://www.momentfactory.com/en/portfolio/Madonna%5FMDNA%5FTour/?ref=protein.xyz#%5F/%5F/%5F/%5F), or [Jay Z](http://www.momentfactory.com/en/portfolio/Jay-Z%5Fat%5FCarnegie%5FHall/?ref=protein.xyz#%5F/%5F/%5F/%5F), the seven-act architectural choreography is the most complex project the studio has been involved in due to the peculiar design of Gaudi’s building.
